Pipeline Safety Regulatory Information
Pipeline safety regulation and industry practices focused primarily on community safety and environmental protection are primary goals of the Pipeline Safety Trust. Currently, inadequate federal, state, and local statues, regulations, and enforcement fall short of this goal.
This section of the web site includes information on current and proposed pipeline safety policies. At this time, the focus in this section is on federal regulation of interstate pipelines. Future updates will add information on the pipeline safety policies of individual states and local jurisdictions.
